About STARS III


Overview:

8(a) STARS III is a multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract engineered to provide cutting-edge technology solutions from award-winning 8(a) small businesses to federal agencies. Using 8(a) STARS II will enable you to access 8(a) firms through an established contract vehicle instead of traditional, open market methods – saving both time and money for our customer.

Contract Specifics:

The 8(a) STARS III GWAC ordering period is a five year base with one three year option. This ordering period began on July 2, 2021.

  • The ceiling for 8(a) STARS III is $50 billion.
  • 8(a) STARS III allows for fixed price, time and materials, labor-hour or a hybrid blend of these task order types.
  • The contract access fee for the 8(a) STARS III GWAC is .75%, the same as GSA Schedules.
  • The contract includes two sub-areas, one for emerging technology and one for OCONUS requirements.

Delegation of Procurement Authority (DPA)

If you would like to award Task Orders on the GSA 8(a) STARS III GWAC, you will need a Delegation of Procurement Authority (DPA). The DPA designation is required before you will be able to issue the awards. The DPA can be issued to federally warranted contracting officers or you can take one of the quick and easy training options listed below:
